Westchester County, NY · Our Services
Properly sized sump pump systems with battery backup — your last line of defense against basement flooding in Westchester County, even during power outages.
A sump pump is the active water removal component of any complete basement waterproofing system. It collects groundwater that accumulates in a pit beneath the basement floor and discharges it away from the foundation before it can rise and flood the space. For Westchester County homes — where high water tables and heavy seasonal rainfall are constant factors — a properly sized, well-maintained sump pump is essential protection.
We install new sump pump systems, replace aging or undersized units, and service existing pumps across all of Westchester County. Every installation includes a battery backup system to ensure your basement stays protected when the primary pump fails or loses power — the two most common causes of flooding during storms.
For homes with recurring basement moisture, sump pump installation is most effective when combined with interior perimeter drainage that channels water to the pit from the full foundation perimeter.
What this service includes:
Properly sized to handle your basement's actual water volume
Battery backup systems included for power outage protection
Float switch and check valve inspection on every installation
Discharge routing positioned at least 10 feet from the foundation
Integrates with interior perimeter drainage systems
Monitoring alarm alerts you when backup system activates
Pump Sizing Assessment
We evaluate your pit dimensions, typical water inflow rate, and discharge head to specify a pump rated for your worst-case storm load — not just average conditions.
Pit Preparation
We inspect the existing pit liner for cracks and proper sizing. If the pit is undersized or incorrectly positioned, we resize and reposition it before installing the new pump.
Pump & Check Valve Installation
The new pump is installed and connected to the discharge pipe. A check valve is installed to prevent backflow into the pit when the pump cycles off.
Discharge Pipe Routing
We verify the discharge pipe has proper slope, is free of obstructions, and terminates at least 10 feet from the foundation to prevent water from re-entering the soil adjacent to the wall.
Battery Backup Installation
A DC-powered backup pump with sealed AGM battery is installed above the primary unit. The system includes an alarm that activates when the backup pump engages.
Full Operational Test
We test the complete system — primary pump, float switch, check valve, and backup unit — before leaving the site to confirm everything operates as designed.
